Kidney disease includes conditions that damage your kidneys and decrease their ability to remove toxins and keep you healthy. Kidney health is important as a hormone called erythropoietin made in your kidneys, signals your bone marrow to make more red blood cells. Without plenty of red blood cells, the health of the entire body will suffer.

Kidney infections can result from a bladder infection. Urine remains in the bladder for about six hours before it is drained. If bacteria get into the bladder, they will duplicate every 20 minutes – a bladder infection can become serious very quickly.
